Our son, Harvey, was diagnosed with sagittal craniosynostosis and underwent cranial vault remodelling surgery at just 13 months of age. Throughout his journey, he has shown remarkable resilience and an unwavering enthusiasm for life. He continues to inspire us every day with his strength, courage, and joyful spirit.
When the opportunity arose to participate in the Run Melbourne 5.5 km event in support of Craniofacial Australia and our son, we didn’t hesitate to sign up.
Elliot (Dad) would be the first to admit that he’s not a runner, but he embraced the challenge to support Harvey and the many children and families living with craniofacial conditions. Not only did he complete the entire 5.5 km course, but he also finished in an impressive 27 minutes. We couldn’t be prouder.
We look forward to joining more craniofacial families at future Run Melbourne events, standing together in support of one another while raising awareness and advocating for children affected by craniofacial conditions.
