Our journey with Craniosynostosis began when James was just two weeks old. We noticed what looked like a lump on the right side of his forehead, flattening on the left side of his head, and one eye that seemed to open wider than the other.
Harvey was born with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) in April 2023. We were in hospital for a month before we could bring him home. I always knew something wasn’t right with his head, his eyes were not aligned, part of his forehead was flatted and one eye opened more than the other.
17-month-old Emilia was born with a Unilateral Cleft Lip and Unicoronal Craniosynostosis. A Unilateral Cleft Lip occurs when one side of the lip has a gap, after failing to join together during pregnancy.
